Is AntiVir Desktop a Virus? I have this on my system running all the time and i cannot seem to deactivate.

It sounds like it's part of Avira. Did you install Avira?

If its not part of that which folder is it located in. This would allow us to narrow down the infection.

It is not Avira. This one seems to be a deadly virus :) It refuses to go.

Guapo, thank you for trying to help me. Actually I have tried everything for 2 weeks and even took help from an antimalware expert. But as I searched online, I see that a lot of people have this issue of malicious url blocked. I think it is because of this particular virus. I posted the question here because I was curious about this virus. I had to format my system to get rid of it ...If you search online about Malcious URL blcoked you will see several questions/posts. So I wanted to know what is this virus exactly.
