Hi, I have a virus that intermittently will open a new tab without asking and use BFLIX to direct the new tab to another site, usually a blank page.
Shutting down the tab will revert back to the original page, but it keeps coming back. Also sometimes when I hover over a link, an ad will pop up.
Annoyed!
run a full scan with malwarebytes and fix all it finds for starters Some HELP in posting on Computing.net plus free progs and instructions 7 Golds
Thanks for the reply xpuser
I did run malwarebytes and I also ran a full scan with mse and at first I thought they had killed it, but it came back today. Only once, but thats how it started before, it seemed to get worse and worse.
run these 3 progs in EXACTLY the order listed
1- rkill.exe (stops the malware process)
2- tdss killer (removes unwanted rootkit if found)
3- malwarebytes (run a full scan and fix all it finds and reboot)If that doesn't clear it up...run the same 3 in safe mode and then reboot

If those fail to work, try booting your browser without plug ins, and then remove that installed toolbar. mike
Thanks XPuser, I just did all that, nothing found exept Rkill reported one file, no mention of bflix though. Thanks for your reply mike, which I tried, but I cannot remove or disable the the Bflix class add on. The button is greyed out. Any ideas how to remove it?
To be honest, if it was anything truely bad, the series that xp suggested usually fixes this type of issue. perhaps retry in safe mode?
also perhaps search for this folder bflixtoolbar and then run the uninstall.exe?mike
Thanks for all the valuable advice, but none of the measures here have managed to get rid of bflix.
I managed to delete it now, but it was hidden as "Thebflix" not Bflix.
Warning! although this thing isn't deadly as far as I can tell, it is extremely annoying and can only be killed by uninstalling from control panel, and "Thebflix" is the file you want to delete.
I'm not sure which category you'd put it in, not a virus as such in the terms of being damaging to the computer as far as I can tell, but its definitely a severe annoyance that is glued to the system.
I tryed to uninstall this Bflix and now it appears as datathe Bflix. Please haw to stop it?
Try these 2 fully working trials and run them till they run clean:
