ADW Cleaner crashes and log is strange

Specs: Windows 7, Intel Core 2 2GB Ram
Adwcleaner crashes and strange log file. It crashes agter cleaning giving me that error message

*** Caught unhandled unknown exception; terminating

And this part of the log file I'm wondering about

Which version of it are you using? There are a quite a few utilities with a very similar name... This is the one to go for:

Log isn't particularly strange. It is just saying that something is trying to foist "Advanced System Care" on you.

At some time I ran into that error message too. Can't quite remember how I got shot of it but try this:
Go to the C drive root and remove the AdwCleaner folder. Also remove the downloaded AdwCleaner exe file that you are using. If you happen to have CCleaner on board run that. Restart the computer, which on Win 10 clears more than Shut down and Start up. OOPS - I SEE THIS IS NOT WIN 10.

Get a new download from here (which is the authors site):

Save the file somewhere then double click it to run AdwCleaner again.

EDIT:
Seems I overlapped but if you get stuck the "clear out and start again procedure" I've given might sort it.

IObit Advanced SystemCare is one of those "speed up my PC" programs. Get rid of it.
