Download DDS and save it to your desktop.

Disable any script blocker if your Anti-Virus/Anti-Malware has it.
Once downloaded you can disconnect from the Internet and disable your Ant-Virus temporarily if needed.
Then double click dds.scr to run the tool.
When done, the DDS.txt will open.
Click Yes at the next prompt for Optional Scan.

When done, DDS will open two (2) logs:
1. DDS.txt
2. Attach.txt

Save both reports to your desktop then post them please.

ADVERTISING CENTER is a Nero DVD/CD Software component. Found the registry entry. Here's the response from Nero Support: "These entries are absolutly required for Nero to work correctly on your system. Why do you want to remove those entries?" Indeed: Why would I wish an advertising program that cannot be installed and is part of something I purchased?

I am going to rename the registry entry [after a prudent backup] and see. The results will be my own fault, so I will not share the outcome.

I did request a program patch to remove, we'll see, won't we.
