a virus is hiding my files on my usb storage

Specs: Windows XP, intel celeron
I am able to see that my files are still on the usb storage and when I scan them they show, yet when I try to access them I can't.

Are the file names changed at all?. You may have an Autorun.inf virus.

I'd like you to first download Flash Disinfector from Bleeping Computer here: http://download.bleepingcomputer.co...

Next, please hold down the shift key while inserting your USB drive when prompted to prevent the autorun file from running. Double click on the program to run it, the screen will go blank for a few seconds (which is normal) After the program finishes, reboot when prompted.
