Hello, I'm looking for a good anti virus program that i can open and lets me scan certain files that are downloaded, instead of scanning the whole computer or having it run in the background all the time.. One that scans for trojans horses, worms, malware etc. Let me know..

I don't have a antivirus installed, i don't really need it.. I use safe browsers that don't let ads pop up and allow files to be planted in the system like I Explorer does. And i don't like them running in the background to slow the computer down, and most of the time if you get viruses and malware, Any virus program that is installed and running is most likely not going to stop the virus 100% no matter if it's up to date, at least my experience. I've tried them all at one point. I only need a small program that i can run and select certain directories and files to scan, when downloaded from the internet before i open them... I'll have to take a look at your links.. Thanks...

That's Ok, Malwarebytes will be the one, update the definitions each time you want to check a file. The Free version you have to do them manually.
