Hi Derek,

I'm glad I'm not the only one reading along who can't read minds.

Derek: First of all thanks for responding to my request.
Here is link for post i referd to in previous question but read my objective below this link first.:http://www.computing.net/answers/programming/manipulate-csv-data-using-dos-batch-file/27317.html
I have price change files in csv. We get this file every week but only 100 records change from 3800 records.
This is complete retail file that have many other columns we do not need to use such as tax flags, crv flags etc. File have like 80 columns and 3800 rows. Most of columns are fillers with zeros etc. My objective is as following:
1. Read NEW file
1. Compare changed rows indexing one given column(it
em number.) comparing OLD file
2.Look for deleted rows or new rows in comparison to file OLD.
3.export changed, deleted and new rows to 2nd new file
I was trying to delete extra columns as first step, or export needed columns in new file then start comparison etc. Any exemplry in python or DOS is appreciated.
thanks/gs.

Now I've seen it I know my limits but Mechanix2Go (and others) can probably grapple with this one.

Here's an active link to that old post:

Post useful chunks of the new, old & modified files.

Or, if the data is too sensitive, send me your email address in a PM.

shangs

You ought to edit out your email on here pronto or the spammers engines will find it and send you increasing junk email forever. The safe way is to send it in a private message (name case sensitive). If you're not sure where that is this should find it:
