I tried to open one of my visual basic programs on a different computer, and that computer did not have visual basic 2008, so I think it was trying to download visual basic to run my program... The reasons I do not want to happen is 1. That computer only has 198 MB of RAM.. 2. I do not want that happening to all the computers I try to run the program on... Is it trying to download visual basic 2008 or is it just installing my program? If it is trying to install visual basic, how can I stop it from downloading that whila being able to run my program? Thanks! Computers are needed forever.
You cannot just copy a VB app to a different computer and expect it to work. You need to generate a proper installation file that will include the VB runtime files that VB requires. These are what the computer was trying to download. They are essential.
