How are the updates stored? If they're in .MSI files, you should be able to go though the Windows Installer. If they're executable files, just start them.

Thanks; I understand by starting the executables and using windows installer to sto install the .MSI files but what i am trying to eleviate is the need for parameters as follows:

start WindowsXP-KB936929-SP3-x86-ENU.exe /quiet /passive

depending on the update different switches must be used.
