Unable to execute exe file

February 19, 2012 at 03:59:18
Specs: Windows 7
I need to run an exe file in the same location as the file used to execute it.
The command:start /w "%~dp0\xxx x.exe"
Instead of opening the actual exe, it opens the command prompt with the location. I don't want to change the name. How will this be possible?

start "" /w "%~dp0\xxx\x.exe"

If the pathname has double quotes, you need to code a pair of double quotes after start. The above statement is anyway a waste of code.

Reading more accurately your post, maybe you want

start "" /D "%~dp0.\xxx" /W x.exe

start "" /w "%~dp0\xxx x.exe"

If the above works perfectly, Why your Private Message?

And Why did you change your nickname? that's not a fair behavior on any Forum.
