Maybe something like this:

2>&1 >nul dir /adhs "folder" && echo Hidden, system AND a directory

Attrib could also be used(though differently).

Hi Judago,

Speaking of time, I think you said you're in time zone +10 or thereabouts, right? Just curious.

:mine picks up on errorlevel if not
dir /adsh "%folder%"
if errorlevel 0 goto :folderSH
::---------
speaking of timezones, I was gmt+5 till my computer decided to daylight me.
does any one know which fields are which in registry?
(timezoneinformation/daylightstart). i went to change them and mine was: 0 0 4 0 0 0 1 0 0 2
and 4 should maybe be month, but since my computer tried to reset last night sometime, the day might be 2 base zero?
(=3). and 1 is what, 1am? or 1 hour to change?
i will google it meantime when i get back here, but just thought someone might know.

@nbrane

if errorlevel 0 goto :folderSH

If the return code is greater than or equal to zero?

If you are assured of a positive return code then:

if not errorlevel 1 goto foldersh

Also I have no idea about the DST stuff other than every year windows update hits revised times......

Quite a multinational thread(as always I guess)
