Specs: solaris 10
1. Need to run a script on all servers that runs an ifconfig and greps for netmask 255.255.255.0 and create a list of servers.
2. From the above list we need to run another script that runs a netstat and greps for 0.0.0.0 and create a list of servers.
a. This will give us a list of the servers that have the above issue but we still need to fix the netmasks of the servers that don’t make this list.
3. Now that we have our list we need some information, need the contents of the /etc/netmasks file and the zone network setup (within in the zone) found that some SA’s create the zone and put the netmask within the zone, not good. The zone should be reading the global netmask file.
4. Now with this information we fix the zone, make sure the netmask file has the correct information it and add 3 static routes for the probs for the failing network.
5. To test we reboot the servers.
