Specs: Windows Vista
Hi All,
I would like to select all the text in a notepad file (myfile.txt) by using a batch file.
Have tried this to no avail:-
echo controlA >> myfile.txt (controlA created by using DosEdit)
Any help would be much appreciated.
Thanks.

The question i have is, why use a batch file at all? are you trying to copy the text file? because the contents can be copied in an easier way?

Thanks Mike
I want to highlight the text so that a text reader can automatically read it without me having to open the text file and select the text each time.
Hope this makes sense.

doing some research for you, dont think that batch files are good source unfortunatly. once the program is called (start notepad.exe myfile.txt) it waits for the program to end. still looking though

Hi Mike
I've tried several text reader progs. but NaturalReader seems to be ok. Maybe there's a better one?
