searchind win xp & 7 bat file???

Specs: Windows 7 & windows xp, 2 GB , 2.93 ghz
i want to search a my documents folder of windows xp and 7 operating systems of many pc's and silently copy all of it's documents (file types doc and docx) onto a pendrive whose pen drive letter keeps changing please help

if you aim to write an autorun to do this you wont be quite successful. they would have to click "copy" or whatever your programs name is on the autorun menu to accomplish that. even if you write this autorun it would only be available to click on XP and lower. cant seem to get it working in win 7 and Vista. then they would have to run the batch/exe themselves and thats not silent. if you still would like help with this i would be glad to help you out.

if those computers are in network you can copy required files using \\computername\c$\

Also, silently copying documents when you insert a pin drive doesn't sound suspect at all. (It totally does.)

i dont think its like a backup..sometihng else in his mind...he knows but i am 99 % sure not a good idea

a batch file will also do alli want is a batch file that searches my documents folders and copies doc docx [does not matter what type of file it is lest i can run it]

and yeah if you can make it and send it to me please fell free to do that or copy paste the code as a reply...

and the pen drive appears on different letters which is why i need help...

Yes, I would get suspicious when someone wants to complicate an otherwise simple task by making it invisible to other users.

For takes like this the clients usually have a script that sends the documents to the server. A lot simpler that having the server fetch the documents, but then it wont be surreptitious anymore.
