Hi guys, need your help in appending _v001 to my folder of JPEGs. Example if I want to search the folder for JPEG files only and rename them, e.g., filename.jpg to filename_v001.jpg while keeping the original filename and extension, how do I do it using .bat? Appreciate your help in this. Thanks alot!

William

hi nbrane, thanks for the reply. I did what you listed above but the duplicated file becomes filename.jpg_v001.jpg instead of filename_v001.jpg? Anyway to fix this? Thanks alot!

Here's one way of doing it:

ren *. *.was_no_ext
ren *.jpg *.
ren *. *_v001.jpg
ren *.was_no_ext *.
