I recently posted a question about the extended columns that you can choose from when looking at a folder listing in Windows Explorer. I didn't get a valuable answer so re-thinking this today I thought I should answer the question differently. When you look at a folder listing of mp3's you can choose album title as one of the columns and I realized this is probably being extracted from the mp3 tag. So my question is 'does someone know of a DOS program I could use to extract mp3 tag information into a flat file'?

I don't know about any program that does that, but there's a similiar program called "MP3Tag", check it out, as it might have the features you are looking for.

This might be worth a look, looks as though there is at least an extraction through batch.
