Proper syntax for the find or findstr command

Specs: Windows XP
HELP!!!

As an example, I have a hard drive named Z:\

I need to search in Z all the directories, sub directories and files for a specific word. The syntax has to take into account all upper and lower case combination's of the same word, extract all hits and save it if possible to a text file...can someone please help me...thank you sooo much!!

In XP, not DOS:
