Specs: Windows 10
Hi there,
I have problem with the command '' findstr '' !
Actually the command '' find '' works fine when i use it to find greek strings !!!
The strange is, that command " findstr " doesn't !! Weird things !!!
I have Windows 10 and i use the above commands at ANSI files !
I have tried chcp 1253, 737, 869 , 28597 but nothing.
I have spent lots of hours trying to solve it.
I would appreciate if someone could help me. I am not professional.
Thanks for advance!!!

I can't do anything without a target-file sample. That might be a problem trying to post it here. Maybe the moderators can clue you in as to how to present it, or, of course, another contributor can solve. Findstr is finicky and often difficult and non-intuitive to use, (maybe especially with greek).

Hi nbrane,
Thanks for your help.
The concept is, that i have million of receipts (files), and i want to make a sum of these by date.
I know this command with cmd :
findstr /i /s "ΣΥΝΟΛΟ" *a.txt
but it cant understand the greek string in contrast with "find"

I just realized that i cant send a sample
Its says that i upload a spam!!! :(
Great!!!

Anyway Thanks for your help!!!

Only clue is: FIND can find strings in Unicode where FINDSTR fails. No help, I still couldn't fix it. Last resort:
for /r %%a in (*a.txt) do find /I "ΣΥΝΟΛΟ" %%a&&echo FOUND %%a
