Need to move and have files placed in a dir structrue

Specs: Windows XP
Hi every one; Like all your work, but I am after something that gives a little more functionality…

I get log files or all sorts and snapshots and bmps that over a few months can build to numbers > 400K and worse when I am trouble shooting and or stuffing around.

What I was after was a batch file that I could run on the target system that would find flies > 30days (maybe 60/90/120) in a target dir and MOVE them to a new Dir.

My Ideal would be a sub dir of the parent… Year / month / Day of the file

C:\xxxxx\Log files

C:\xxxxx\Log files \2013\month1\day12

Where the year \ month number \ day number is take from the file info.

Thus I would have a sub dir of years 2011 2012 2013 etc with months 1 to 12 for each year and days 1 – 31 etc.

This would assist in sorting and managing my garbage.

Lots of batch files that delete or do other things but nothing that I have been able to plagiarise and get to work.

It seems as though robocopy might serve most of your needs.

Looked at RoboCopy; but can not work out how to set it to save. As in move and make Dir as required.
