mv command gives error

Specs: Windows XP
Im using windows server 2000 sp4

When i run the below command, its giving error that files cannot be renamed, and directory not exist
i checked all my directory are correct end exist
i can run the same script in my windows XP

cd /cygdrive/c/logfile
FOR FILE /*.[Ll][Oo][Gg]
mv $FILE /cygdrive/c/logfolfer/$FILE

someone please help me..

You state that you are using "Windows XP batch" in your
header, but this looks like Cygwin Shell.

Could it be that you've misspelt logfolder?

Finally solved the problem
its actually wrong installation of cygwin where some of the .exe files in bin folder are missing (cant really know what file)
installed with updated cygwin and it now working well
