Dell Dell gaming backpack carrying case...

Specs: Windows XP
I want to create a batch file that creates another batch file which contains a different program. But there is a problem - I don t know how to add multiple lines in the second document
e.g
@echo off>newfile.bat
echo TEXT > newfile.bat

I want in stead of "TEXT" the program to write a multiple line program. Any suggestions ? /the OS is windows 5.1/

@echo off>newfile.bat
echo echo hello>>newfile.bat
echo pause>>newfile.bat
echo exit>>newfile.bat
exit

Use two >'s instead of one to add the next line and keep the old one.

----

This will create a new batch file that says:

hello
press any key to continue . . .

then exit.
