Solved Move files via a .txt file

October 21, 2013 at 16:46:35
Specs: Windows 8
I need to move some files to a certain directory based on the input from a .txt file.

Example:

badlist.txt holds the file names I want to move.

ZZ TOP - BEER DRINKERS AND HELL RAISERS
ZZ TOP - GIMME ALL YOUR LOVIN
ZZ TOP - I'M BAD I'M NATIONWIDE
ZZ TOP - JESUS JUST LEFT CHICAGO

The move directory can be specified in the batch.

d:\karaoke\temp

Seems simple enough but I am new at .bat creation and need a wee bit of help.

Thanks

✔ Best Answer
@echo off & setlocal
set source=d:\zztop
for /f "tokens=*" %%a in (list.txt) do (
copy "%source%\%%a" d:\karaoke\temp
)
::======= end
Sorry, it's late... not tested...
