move file to new directory

August 30, 2010 at 08:59:13
Specs: Windows 2000
I'm using the following line to move the file from one directory to another. The source directory is on D: drive and the destination is on C: drive.

Move /Y "D:\KMTool\hrbbykm2_dev????????.zip" "c:\backups"

The command executes fine but it does not move the file to the c:\backups directory. It leaves the file in C: root. Any ideas?

The questions marks are probably the problem here. They are subustitute for the data that gets populated after the file is zipped. Should i just search for the file using the file name and then a wild card at the end to capture the file? But it's weird that it does move the file but to the wrong directory.

[1] Does c:\backups exist?

[2] What file[s] gets moved to c:\?
