April 21, 2020 at 06:00:56
Specs: Windows 10
My Windows OS is Windows 10
I inserted my flash drive, went to Command Prompt.
Typed "attrib s h /s /d*.*

It says: Parameter format not correct.

I think you're missing the " - " (no quotes) before s and h?

may help understand more clearly?

Is it really necessary to use batch file, when it can be done very simply by standard/basic line of dos text at the command prompt (dos prompt as was)?

Maybe you're thinking that attrib will list all files of a given attribute, but it don't. It will list all files and their attributes, but not filter on the attribute. You'd need 'find' or 'findstr' to provide that. DIR is probly more suited to what (I think) you're trying to do. from root of flash:
DIR /S /B /A *.*
will list all files on the drive, including hidden and system files, but it won't tell you each file's attributes. If you need that info, you will need a batch.
HOWEVER, you can get lists of all files of given attribute if that's what you want, like
all System or Hidden: DIR /S /AHS will list all hidden and system files on the drive, but
not "regular" files.
