How To Delete Blank Records @EOF from Batch?

September 7, 2011 at 01:44:11
Specs: Windows XP
Hello,

I need to delete all the empty/ blank records from a TXT file which are at the end of the file.
--------------
1 2.3 4.5
6 7 8 9 0

--------------

When the batch program starts executing, it should edit the file only if there are blank or empty records at the end of the file and delete them.
--------------
1 2 3 4 5
6 7 8 9 0
--------------

Please let me know how to do this in a batch program.

Thanks,
BK.

Hey BK,

Batch files can only modify the first line of a file without using a loop. Can you provide me with more detail about how the files are setup?
