how do i call a perl script inside a batch

Specs: Windows XP
say, i have a batch file sample.bat.
i need to call a perl file perl1.pl with a parameter (Eg: perl perl1.pl text1.txt)
how do i call the above (perl1.pl text1.txt) inside the batch file sample.bat?

Just code your statement at the proper line inside the batch script

perl perl1.pl text1.txt

The above line executes the Perl script and when it ends resumes the batch in sequence. If you need to launch the Perl script and concurrently continue the execution of the batch, then code
