June 28, 2017 at 14:15:11
Specs: Windows 8, 6
I'm trying to find a way to make a program that automatically checks a websites sourcecode and if it finds a certain thing then to exicute a command

I have tried google but either it's not possible or I'm using the wrong terms

I'm not even sure where to start and i only know a little java so I'm not very flexible in my code so I'm not sure what to do. Any help is appreciated

I am not conversant with java, but may be able to offer from my own limited experience and methods, fwiw.
First, you should get the site on your local drive. As long as you don't execute any of the script or links, you should be safe. I recommend "wget for windows", or else, if you have internet explorer, cache-mining for the content.
Once you have a complete "mirror" of the site, it is fairly straightforward to scan all content for your target. If there are any files that aren't html or script, they should be treated like poison.
Again, be sure not to activate the site, sub-pages, links or code on your local system, nor any components of any of these.
That's as far as I can go with what you've given so far.

Sorry if I was too vague, what you're telling me to do would work fine in any other case but for me it wont. My endgoal is the have a program that detects when a variable has changed in the source code of a live website, then once a change has been detected it would read the variable and compaire it with a list of pre stored variables and then execute a unique command depending on what the detected variable is. I can do most of the stuff on my own but i dont know how to detect a source code change on a live website

Is it your website? Is it on your server? Do you have physical
access to the server? What changes the variable? How are
the changes made? How frequently do you want to check for
changes?

I do not own the website nor do I have any access to the servers the website is run on. The variable in question is the name of a png, the png is a simple picture of a word, the variable tells the website what png to display and when the user types the word that the png displays the website chsnges the png to the next word needed to type. What I want to do is check for the variable/name of the png, and when it finds it, it would compare the name of the png with a list of all the avalible names, once it finds a match it would send they keys to type the word on the matching png.

Sorry if thats hard to keep up with, heres some poorly written sudo code to help.

Program checks for variable name

Programs finds the varible names cxghty.png

Program runs cxghty.png through "if" list

If variable equals cxghty then sendkeys "success"

Sounds like you are trying to defeat a robot blocking mechanism.

Sounds like the sort of thing that this site shouldn't be providing help with. Spamming forums, or something like that.

Im not trying to do anything malicious like spamming a form or getting around a captcha. What im trying to do is pretty much break a typing game by just creating a program that detects what needs to be typed and then types it. Not for anything righteous like a school project or anything but definitly not for trolling, more of a side project that I hit a roadblock on

So it's just something you want to do because it occurred to
you that you might be able to do it. That sounds a bit like me.
I can find more useful things to work on, though.
