How can I tell if C++ is installed on my Win XP computer? I think I need it to run a program that isn't working properly.

not sure about IDE, but to check for just a borland compiler:
cd\
dir /s b*32.exe
the primary is bcc32.exe

I'm giving odds this has nothing to do with programming.

Sounds like you need to post in the XP forum and say what the problem *IS*.
