Hide wscript.exe?

June 27, 2011 at 13:01:15
Specs: Windows XP
I've created a VBScript program that is a login system. The only problem is that Task Manager can close it, even though all other ways don't work (which includes right-click close, cancel button, close button, ok button). I technically have two questions:
1. can I hide wscript.exe?
2. if not, can I disable task manager?
Also, I want this to be done in VBScript, though it can be opened as an external program (open *.vbs...).

The subcategory didn't include vbscript, so I hope it's okay if I use VB.

Aha! Here is the code:

Shell.RegWrite "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\System\DisableTaskMgr", 1, "REG_DWORD"

to turn it back on, use:

Shell.RegWrite "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\System\DisableTaskMgr", 0, "REG_DWORD"

(change 1 to 0 for on)
