Specs: Windows 7
I'm FTP'ing a file "inv.dat" to dir xx. After the FTP is complete, I want to copy the same file to dir yy.

Hi Sunhash,
I want to copy a file using FTP. While still in FTP "mode", i want to copy that same file to another directory - ie, instead of doing another put to the different directory

Hi,
create a script file script.txt (Suppose in C:\temp folder).
the contents of your script will be as below ..

o ftpservername
username
password
yourcommands
exit


then create a batch file anythhing.bat in same directory,put below things in the batch file.


ftp -s:script.txt

It should work..

Thanks again for the reply.

In DOS, I can say copy c:\Invoice\inv.dat c:\temp\inv.dat. This will copy the file from the Invoice directory to the temp directory.
What is the FTP command to copy a file.
