Solved Having issues with Small Basic from Microsoft Corp.

Specs: Windows 7
Has anyone heard of the program Small Basic? I've been learning on how to do computer programming with the program Small Basic from Microsoft Corporation and i'm having issues with certain lines of coding "arguing" with eachother, or it will say that there's and error because of "Write.Line" in "Text.Window". I also downloaded the .docx file that helps you learn how to use Small Basic and it also shows you what coding you need to write and how to write it. I would type in the coding lines exactly and says there was something wrong or missing, so I would copy and paste the lines of code from the .docx file and enter it into the program and then it wold work. I don't know if it's just me not typing in right lines of coding or if there's something wrong with the Small Basic program.

If copy and paste works but your typing doesn't then it must be your typing that is the problem.

I am not familiar with Small Basic but in common with other programming languages, punctuation is critical.

I comma or full stop in the wrong place or even a misplaced space can completely throw the programme. Precision and 100% accuracy is important. 99.9% accuracy is not enough.

Until you gain a lot of experience at this, spotting that extra space or a colon where a semicolon should be in a screenful of code can be a daunting chalenge. Here's a hint to make it a lot easier:

Save some source similar to yours (in this case it's 'almost' exact) that you know is good. Then open a command window in your source folder and use FC to find which lines are different.

FC Soruce1.txt Source2.txt

FC will leave no stone unturned. In most cases the similar source will be your most recent good compile.
