Specs: Windows Vista
hello,

i am trying to copy some lines of text from a file.
eg., input file is abc.txt
that contains
001
002
003
004

and i want to copy just the lines between 001 and 004 to another file.

Could somebody just point me in the right direction ?

Thanks in advance,

download sed for windows then do this

sed -n '/001/,/004/{s/00[14]//;p}' file

GNU win32 packages | Gawk
