If I remember correctly it's possible to run the .exe wrapped .bat and reclaim it from the temp folder, but you have to be quick or kill mid process because the wrapper code will delete the script on exit.

If you password protected the script at conversion then it would only be possible to do this if you have the password.

I just tested with "Bat to Exe converter v1.5.1" and confirmed what I stated above.

Also if there isn't a password you can unpack the executable with upx and the script can be found as plain text in the unpacked executable.

I found this a while ago:

@echo off
start /min %1
dir /s C:\%~n1.bat | find "Directory of" > dir.txt
for /f "tokens=1-2*" %%a in (dir.txt) do (
  cd /d "%%c"
start notepad %~n1.bat

Can I put a question here?

Which converter did you use?

If you used the one available here:

...and you didn't use the "password protect" feature then you can download upx( ) run the following:

upx -d your.exe -o decompressedyour.exe
notepad decompressedyour.exe

Somewhere in the garbage should be the script (hint turn word wrap off and search for "echo").
