Dos command to archive files

Specs: Windows 7
I want to create bat file which will archive all dat files in one zip or rar file.
Can someone help me?

I tried usin following script
set PATH=C:\Program Files\WinZip.exe;.;%PATH%
WinZIP a C:\SSA\PCR\Br9901.zip C:\SSA\PCR\*.dat

but its not working.
Please help me out...

Your PATH statement is wrong; it should point to a directory not an executable file. Of course you could just specify the full path to the winzip command in the second line and do away with the first line.

I suspect that it is actually:

"C:\Program Files\WinZIP\winzip.exe ..."
