creation of false file folders

Specs: Windows 7
I work with a person who has a history of falsifying documents, folders, e-mails, etc. It never concerned me in the past but now has a direct and potentially negative impact on my employment.

I would like to know if there is a way to validate the creation times / dates of specific file folders that are shared on our server. This way, when he says" The folder was there on such-and such a date" I can call him out on it and expose his forgeries.

Ask your IT department to check the nightly backups. If it wasn't there on "such-and such a date," then it won't be in the backups.

If your IT department doesn't make nightly backups, delete EVERYTHING on the server just before you walk out. With luck, the owner will insist the IT department make backups once he finishes rebuilding his business.
