Creating a html file that can compare

Hewlett-packard Pavilion dv6-2190us note...

Specs: Windows Vista
here is what i want
there will be four files.
one file will create a list of directories and files.
the second one will be a PRESENT log file
the third will be a PAST file with directories in it as
well.
the fourth file will be in html. i want this file to compare
2 documents. and color the text where there are
differences. (this idea was inspired by wikipedia's
documents editer; it tells a user what sentences they
have edited; i'm telling you this so you can get a
general idea of what this comparing thing is)

this is what the windows will in general look like
(yeah i took the time to make the exit ,enlarge, and
shrink buttons LOL :)

______________________________
1stfile.bat_____________ - O X

echo off
cls
dir /b/ow/s C:\ >C:\2file.log
______________________________

i then want to open both files

2ndfile.log___________ - O X

C:\930a122f0547395af76cd336
C:\Intel
C:\PerfLogs
C:\Program Files
C:\SwSetup
C:\Users
C:\WINDOWS
C:\.rnd
C:\autoexec.bat
C:\config.sys

3rdfille.log_________ - O X

C:\930a122f0547395af76cd336
C:\Intel
C:\PerfLogs
C:\Program Files
C:\SwSetup
C:\Users
C:\WINDOWS
C:\.rnd
C:\autoexec.bat
C:\config.sys
__________________________

__________________________
4thfile.html________ - O X

there are several
differences made in the
documents
below are what differences
have been made

(down below there will show
both 2ndfile.log
and 3rdfile.log) the two will
be compared
and will show what differences
were made
through use of colored text

I have moved this to programming since the first part of your task would be that.

I support the 'Everybody Draw Mohammed Day'. A religion doesn't deny my freedom.
