I don't know. Does it have any relationship to the CapsLock key?

stone,
Welcome to the forum.

ping 127.0.0.1 > nul

- will not echo anything to the screen.
You may have to replace 127.0.0.1 by specific ip address.

If what you are asking is how to stop your machine from responding to ping requests from other machines, you can either:

1. Stop the service that responds to ping requests. I know it can be done but can't remember how

2. Use the Windows (or another) Firewall to prevent the response from being sent. I know this can also be done but you'll have to read through your firewall's user manual.
