Specs: Windows 7
Please help :
How to increase the standard dos screen size (80 columns and 25 rows) so that they can be widened to (160 columns and 50 rows) to run the clipper program

It looks like there is a built in option to use CGA # () and EGA # ()

For example CGA160() EGA50(), however it sounds like this would effect a new window vs a currently open window. Unless you are working in "Pure DOS" instead of a dos window within windows.

for cmd.exe(this does not save the settings):

run this test.bat file (replace the path in between the quotes) :

Hmm, I was looking for something like this for years

I get the documented example is like this:

mode con: cols=160 lines=50

This is just great - Next it would be nice to have a way to get the current Column and Line size - But that is not the question of this thread

get it with a for loop from the out put of the mode command:

for /f "tokens=2" %a in ('mode ^| find "Lines:"') do echo %a

for /f "tokens=2" %a in ('mode ^| find "Columns:"') do echo %a

in .bat add the extra %'s
