Batch to reset Ethernet connection if no IP

September 28, 2011 at 08:24:40
Specs: XP
I am trying to create a batch file that will check if the Ethernet connection has been assigned an IP, and if not it will automatically reset the connection in order to receive an IP.

Here are the commands I would like it to run:

ipconfig /release
ipconfig /flushdns
ipconfig /renew

My problem is finding a reliable way to determine whether or not a connection has already been established.

Try here. You will need to edit it a bit to add the commands that you want into it. I would suggest adding those to the beginning. Hope it helps
