Batch to push an ini file out to users.

Specs: Windows XP
I need some help.. I will start off by full out admitting that I am the world's worst scripter.

I need a batch or VB script that does the following...

Replace a file on a non-admin user machine with an updated file from the domain controller.

So.. On the local machine.. the file needing replaced is here:

c:\program files\XprogramX\replaceme.ini

I also need this script to:

1. check to see if that file is there, if not, then end.

2. if the file is there, compare the date of it to the date of the file replacing it on the DC. If it is older, replace the file.

3. Log each machine that this script successfully runs on...

Any help would be greatly appreciated... I just need to be pointed in the right direction...

I plan on using cpau to take care of any admin issues with this batch. That part I fully understand.

Do you have an Active Directory setup? If so, just use a Startup Script, and avoid the security hole.
