Batch to Open a file

Specs: Windows XP, -
I would like to know how to get a batch file to open other files?

And what would i need to do if i went more than one opened?

Added to this can the file be opened (by itself) at a time during the day?

Eg, i want a folder/file to be opened at 9am every morning with out me having to click on anything.

And what would i need to do if i want to change the Time and Folder/File?

Most programs will allow you to specify a file to open as a argument. For example, you might use "WinWord.exe c:\document.txt" to open the file "docuemnt.txt" in Word. If you want it to run at a specific time, I would just use Windows task scheduler.

Windows task scheduler does not work for me... that is why i am tring to use batch files... ha ha. As well i jump to computer to computer often so Windows task scheduler does not work for that sorta thing...

I know now how to open a program or file, but i still want it opened at a time. Sorta like a reminder...

Can it be possible to have a repeating Count Down Timer?
