Solved Batch that ADD new line of text to existing list text file

Specs: iPad a phone
A batch that ADD new line to existing list.txt and then SORTs the list back alphabetically. Another batch that search/finds text from the list.txt and display found text. Actually back in the early 90s, I copied phone book batch from a dos book that was simple and wonderful that did this. Simple name .... phone text list. A batch that ADDs new contact, then sorts the list alphabetically. Another finds input name and display found entry.

Wish some batch experts could help! Many thanks in advance!

I kind of missed the point of sorting when I could just use 'FIND' or 'FINDSTR'.
::------- PHONES
@find /I "%~1" phones||notepad phones
::-------- end
this simply puts you in edit-mode if string not found in 'phones'. If that gets annoying, you can add a prompt to let you skip out, or just leave off the notepad thing and do it manually. My "phonebook" includes all comments and relevant non-secure info, so I can look up anything without sorting as long as I have some clue.
