You can't send email from a batch script without additional downloads. VBScript can, PowerShell (if you have it) can, but not batch.

Sadly, I don't; configuring a SMTP server is just something I've never had to do. I typically just employ whatever email environment already in place.

I got a new ADSL and it won't allow relay so I set up SMTP but it's not obvious how to make it go.

I know it's fairly involved, involving DNS records and whatnot. You could try talking to your ISP, and see if your provider will enable relay for you, but if your phone company is anything like mine, you'd have a better time driving nails into your foot.

If you have a Gmail account, I'm told you can use that as an SMTP relay. I haven't tried it myself though.
