I am making a batch login file for locking files i need it too read a useraccount.txt. So when i type a username and password then press enter it would scan the useraccount.txt for that login info. I saw videos on youtube but they didn't save the account info and would ask you to create a new account every time you opened that .bat file. THX

Text files on their own aren't lockable, so anybody that knows the location of the text file can open it to read the contents. Now, what are you asking exactly? Do you want the username and password stored in a text file? Or do you want the batch file to require a username and password, then open up a text file?
Are you copying what i just said cause i have my own thread about that. :@ I think you should come to mine rather filling up the thread board by asking the same question :@
