batch file to start IP camera?

May 29, 2013 at 08:40:17
Specs: Windows XP
Using battery powered IP camera to record vehicle traffic flow. Connect netbook to start camera then disconnect and return days later for download. Is it possible to use a batch file residing on SD card to autostart the IP camera at a particular date/time without the use of a connected pc? The camera has a built in web server with other features but nothing to autostart recording at a specific date/time. Have made this work with pc connected using task scheduler but need system to autostart without pc intervention. Basically I need to click a link within the camera web server to start the recording at a determined date/time. Thanks

I'm confused. Are you trying to start the webcam from the webcam's SD card slot?

I think you are going to find yourself in a chicken and egg situation here.

The chances are the web server wont be ruining till the camera starts and you can start the camera unless the web server is running,
