Batch file to send/recieve packets

March 20, 2010 at 04:21:12
Specs: Windows XP
Ok i was wondering.

Is it possible to send a Packet via Batch file. Without the need of opening the default browser.

Lets say for example. I want to create a Batch file to automatically Log me into my Google account.
Without opening up my browser.

Is it possible to send the packet to login. Without actually opening the browser?
And instead of gathering the Information from a Cookie. We'll have no cookies and the Password will be entered into the Batchfile which will send the packet to login.

And the 2nd Question.
Is it possible to retrieve information from a webpage from certain fields on that page? Without the need of opening the browser.

I'm just wondering if it's possible because if it is. Could someone direct me on how to do this. This will be my next challenge to accomplish.

To do something like that you will need a third party utility or a different programming language.

A utility that may do the job is the windows port of wget.
