Batch file text program

Specs: Windows XP
Hi-
I have been working on a program I want to use as a kind of powerpoint, but made in a batch file.
I want it to be able to put in text, and then have a movement to bring the text on screen.
like:
@echo off
set /p txt=TXT:
set /p m=MOVE:
if %m%==left goto left

:left
echo echo t
echo ping localhost -n 2 >nul
echo cls
echo echo te
echo ping localhost -n 2 >nul
echo cls
echo echo tex
echo ping localhost -n 2 >nul
echo cls
echo echo text
echo pause
>>test.bat

I want it to do something like that, but, I don't know how to get the text example (%txt%) to show up per letter (t,te,tex,text)
Any help appreciated
Thanks,
Drex

Instead of pause, try the ping command.

;

@echo off
echo.
echo T
ping localhost -n 1 > nul
cls
echo TE
ping localhost -n 1 > nul
cls
echo TEX
ping localhost -n 1 > nul
cls
echo TEXT
pause
exit
