Specs: Windows XP
Hello-
My friend wants to make a batch file that will download a webpage you type in.
Is there a way to do this?
What is the command?
I think he wants it to be something like:
@echo off
color 1f
set /p url=URL:
("download command") %url%
start c:\folders\webpages\%url%

or something similar to that, any help appreciated.

You can get a utility called URL2File which downloads .html and .htm webpages. Download it and keep the URL2File.EXE application in the same folder as the batch file, then setup your code like this:

@ECHO OFF
COLOR 1F
ECHO Enter full URL address. (EX http://www.example.com/pages/login....
SET /P URL=
URL2FILE %URL% > WEBPAGE1.HTML
START C:\folders\webpages\webpage1.html

This will download the page to a file called WEBPAGE1.HTML in the same folder as the batch file is in. Hope this helps.

Mouse could not be found. Click OK to continue.
What to do now?
