Batch command to get IE version and execute by version

Anybody able to tell me how to batch script checking IE version and execute a command if version is X.

Untested, but I suspect it'd be something like this:
reg query "HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer" /v Version | findstr "X" && "a command"

the problem is solved?????????? If not come with more information such what is the command to run , do you want to everytime manualy specify a command? do you want an output to you insert the command? , what is the value for X, etc i can code something but not without full information, if problem is not solved come to me with full details about what you want to your script to do.
