Arachnophilia html color problem

January 29, 2013 at 19:42:01
Specs: Windows 7
I've used several updates of Arachno 5.x over the past 10 years with great success. Recently (within the past two months) something has changed so that background colors designated within table cells will show correctly on-screen, but do not print. These are large tables with hundreds of data values for scientific reports and the background coloration of data cells is significant to their understanding. I have long experience with both Arachnophilia and with solving computer system problems, but this is not covered at the Arach website and has me stymied at a very inconvenient time. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Is your win-7 64-bit? Did you "change up"? If so, you might want to keep a klunker around (xp 32-bit), in case arachnophilia has issues with win-7/64-bit. Something must have changed to go from "working" to "not working", so I would look into whatever might have changed in your system including helper apps etc., and if nothing else, "revert" until things get smoothed out. Hope you can get a real answer for this one.

Thanks, nbrane, for the almost instantaneous reply. I'm using win-7 32-bit, but I do have another machine with XP 32-bit (if I can get it running again); that's a good suggestion. And you're right -- I've inadvertently changed something that needs to be backed out. I'll post the answer when I get it, but in the meantime, I am still open to further ideas. Cheers.
